David and Bathsheba

What Happened

King David committed adultery with Bathsheba and arranged the death of her husband Uriah the Hittite. The prophet Nathan confronted David with a parable, and David repented deeply, writing Psalm 51.

Biblical Significance

David's sin and repentance reveal both the devastating consequences of sin and the depth of God's mercy toward those who confess. Psalm 51 remains the model prayer of repentance for all believers.
