Joshua 1:9
Open in Bible Reader"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:9 is the very verse that inspired the founding of JustAllowGod. When God spoke these words to Joshua, He was not suggesting courage — He was commanding it. And He was not asking Joshua to muster it on his own. The command came with a promise: "The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
Courage does not mean the absence of fear. It means moving forward despite the fear, because you know who walks beside you. Joshua was about to lead an entire nation into unknown territory. The task was enormous, the enemies were real, and the uncertainty was overwhelming. But God said: "Be strong. Be courageous. I am with you."
The same God who was with Joshua is with you today. Whatever unknown territory lies ahead — a new chapter in your life, a difficult conversation, a leap of faith — you do not face it alone. God has gone before you and He walks beside you.
Do not let fear or discouragement steal your next step. You were made for this moment, and God has equipped you for it.
Prayer: Lord, I choose courage today. When fear whispers that I am not enough, remind me that You are with me wherever I go. Give me the strength and courage to take the next step. Amen.
