1 John 1:7
Open in Bible Reader"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."
Walking in the light does not mean walking in perfection — it means walking in honesty before God and before one another. It means bringing our true selves into the presence of the One who already knows us fully. When we walk in the light, two beautiful things happen: we have genuine fellowship with other believers, and the blood of Jesus continually cleanses us from all sin.
The darkness hides. The light reveals. Sin thrives in secrecy, but it withers in the light. When we confess our failures, when we bring our struggles into the open, when we refuse to pretend that all is well when it is not — that is walking in the light. And in that transparency, the blood of Christ does its cleansing work.
This morning, choose the light. If there is something hidden that needs to be brought before the Lord, bring it now. He will not turn you away. The blood of Jesus is sufficient for your worst sin and your deepest shame. Walk in the light today, and you will find both fellowship and freedom waiting for you there.
