Morning — The Blessed Assurance of Salvation

By Charles Spurgeon

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

No condemnation! Not "less condemnation" or "reduced condemnation" but absolutely none. The verdict has been rendered, and for those who are in Christ Jesus, the judge of all the earth has declared: not guilty. The gavel has fallen. The case is closed. There is no appeal pending, no evidence forthcoming, no reversal possible. You are free.

This glorious declaration rests not upon your performance but upon your position — you are in Christ Jesus. United to Him by faith, you share in His righteousness as fully as He bore your sin. When the Father looks at you, He sees you clothed in the perfect righteousness of His Son. What a blessed exchange!

Rise this morning with the confidence of one who is uncondemned. Satan will whisper accusations, your conscience may raise objections, and the world may heap blame upon you — but none of it can change the divine verdict. If God has justified you, who can condemn you? Walk today not under the heavy cloud of guilt but under the bright sunshine of grace. You are free indeed.
