Psalm 139:14
Open in Bible Reader"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."
You are not an accident of nature or a product of blind chance. You are the deliberate, intentional, carefully designed masterwork of the living God. Every detail of your being — from the colour of your eyes to the unique patterns of your fingerprints — was fashioned by the hand of the Almighty with infinite care and wisdom.
The Psalmist declares that he is fearfully made — that is, made with reverent awe and precision — and wonderfully made — that is, made in a way that inspires wonder and amazement. Your body, your mind, your very soul are marvels of divine craftsmanship. Even the most brilliant human artisan pales in comparison to the Creator who formed you.
This morning, resist the temptation to despise yourself or compare yourself to others. You were not made to be anyone else. God broke the mould after He made you, not because you are flawed, but because you are unique and irreplaceable. Praise Him for making you as you are. His works are marvellous, and you are one of them.
