"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God."
The apostle John can scarcely contain his amazement: "Behold!" he cries — look at this! Marvel at this! What manner of love is this, that the holy, infinite, eternal God should call rebels and sinners His own children? This is not merely a title of courtesy; it is a reality of the deepest kind. If you are in Christ, you are a child of God — adopted into His family, made an heir of His kingdom, and loved with the very love with which the Father loves the Son.
No earthly honour can compare with this. Kings and queens wear crowns that tarnish and rule kingdoms that crumble, but the children of God wear a crown of glory that will never fade and inherit a kingdom that will never end. You are royalty in the truest sense — not because of anything you have done, but because of the lavish love of your Father.
As you step into this new morning, walk with the dignity and confidence of one who knows whose child they are. You are not an orphan scrambling for scraps. You are a beloved son or daughter of the Most High God. Let that identity shape everything you do today.
