Building of the Tabernacle

c. 1445 BC

Exodus Old Testament

What Happened

God gave Moses detailed instructions for building the Tabernacle, a portable sanctuary where God's presence would dwell among His people. The people contributed materials generously, and skilled craftsmen built it according to the divine blueprint.

Biblical Significance

The Tabernacle demonstrated God's desire to dwell with His people. Every element pointed to Christ: the altar to His sacrifice, the bread to His body, the light to His truth, and the veil to His flesh.
