1 Peter 1:3
Open in Bible Reader"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."
Our hope is not a dead hope, resting in a tomb, but a living hope, bursting forth from an empty grave. Because Christ is risen, our hope is alive and active and powerful. It is not a mere wish or a feeble sentiment — it is a certainty anchored in the historical fact of the resurrection.
Peter says we have been begotten again — born anew — into this hope. It is not something we manufactured by our own effort; it is something God birthed within us by His abundant mercy. This hope is a gift, and what a gift it is! It transforms everything. Death loses its sting, trials lose their despair, and the future loses its uncertainty, because the One who conquered the grave holds our future in His hands.
This morning, let the reality of the resurrection fill your heart with boldness. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in you right now. No situation is too dead for God to resurrect. No dream is too buried for Him to raise. Serve this day in the power of a living hope, for your Savior is alive forevermore.
