Upon returning to Jerusalem, Paul was falsely accused of bringing a Gentile into the temple. A mob seized him, and Roman soldiers rescued him. Paul gave his testimony before the crowd, was tried before Jewish and Roman courts, and ultimately appealed to Caesar.
Paul's arrest and trials fulfilled Jesus' promise that he would testify before kings and rulers. God used Paul's Roman citizenship and legal rights to bring the Gospel before governors, kings, and ultimately to Rome itself.
