Psalms

¹ Praise Yah! Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for He is good; For His lovingkindness endures forever.

² Or can make all His praise to be heard?

³ And he who does righteousness at all times!

⁴ Visit me with Your salvation,

⁵ That I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, That I may boast with Your inheritance.

⁶ We have committed iniquity, we have acted wickedly.

⁷ They did not remember Your abundant lovingkindnesses, But they rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea.

⁸ That He might make His might known.

⁹ And He led them through the deeps, as through the wilderness.

¹⁰ And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

¹¹ Not one of them was left.

¹² They sang His praise.

¹³ They did not wait for His counsel,

¹⁴ And put God to the test in the wasteland.

¹⁵ But sent a wasting disease against their lives.

¹⁶ And of Aaron, the holy one of Yahweh,

¹⁷ And covered up the company of Abiram.

¹⁸ The flame consumed the wicked.

¹⁹ And worshiped a molten image.

²⁰ For the image of an ox that eats grass.

²¹ Who had done great things in Egypt,

²² And awesome things by the Red Sea.

²³ Had not Moses His chosen one stood in the breach before Him, To turn away His wrath from eradicating them.

²⁴ They did not believe in His word,

²⁵ They did not listen to the voice of Yahweh.

²⁶ To make them fall in the wilderness,

²⁷ And to scatter them in the lands.

²⁸ And ate sacrifices offered to the dead.

²⁹ And the plague broke out among them.

³⁰ And so the plague was checked.

³¹ From generation to generation forever.

³² So that it went badly with Moses on their account;

³³ He spoke rashly with his lips.

³⁴ As Yahweh commanded them,

³⁵ And learned their works,

³⁶ Which became a snare to them.

³⁸ The blood of their sons and their daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with the blood.

³⁹ And played the harlot in their actions.

⁴⁰ And He abhorred His inheritance.

⁴¹ And those who hated them ruled over them.

⁴² And they were subdued under their hand.

⁴³ But they were rebellious in their counsel, And so they sank down in their iniquity.

⁴⁴ When He heard their cry of lamentation;

⁴⁵ And relented according to the abundance of His lovingkindness.

⁴⁶ In the presence of all their captors.

⁴⁷ And gather us from among the nations, To give thanks to Your holy name And revel in Your praise.

⁴⁸ From everlasting to everlasting. And let all the people say, “Amen.” Praise Yah!
