For the choir director. A Psalm of David. Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; Guard my life from dread of the enemy.
From the tumult of the workers of iniquity,
They aimed bitter speech as their arrow,
Suddenly they shoot at him, and do not fear.
They talk of laying snares secretly; They say, “Who can see them?”
“We have completed a diligent search”; For the inward thought of a man and his heart are deep.
Suddenly they will be wounded.
All who see them will shake their head.
And they will declare the work of God, And will consider what He has done.
And all the upright in heart will boast.
