Psalms

¹ For the choir director. A Psalm of David. How blessed is he who considers the poor; Yahweh will provide him escape in a day of calamity.

² And he shall be blessed upon the earth; And do not give him over to the desire of his enemies.

³ In his illness, You restore him to health.

⁴ Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.”

⁵ “When will he die, and his name perish?”

⁶ His heart gathers wickedness to itself; When he goes outside, he speaks it.

⁷ Against me, they devise for me calamity, saying,

⁸ That when he lies down, he will not rise up again.”

⁹ Who ate my bread, Has lifted up his heel against me.

¹⁰ That I may repay them.

¹¹ Because my enemy makes no shout in triumph over me.

¹² And You make me stand firm in Your presence forever.

¹³ From everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.
