Psalms

¹ A Song. A Psalm of Asaph. O God, do not remain at rest; Do not be silent and, O God, do not be quiet.

² And those who hate You have lifted up their heads.

³ And conspire together against Your treasured ones.

⁴ That the name of Israel be remembered no more.”

⁵ Against You they cut a covenant:

⁶ Moab and the Hagrites;

⁷ Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;

⁸ They have become the power of the children of Lot. Selah.

⁹ As to Sisera, and Jabin at the river of Kishon,

¹⁰ Who were as dung for the ground.

¹¹ And all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,

¹² The pastures of God.”

¹³ Like chaff before the wind.

¹⁴ And like a flame that burns up the mountains,

¹⁵ And dismay them with Your storm.

¹⁶ That they may seek Your name, O Yahweh.

¹⁷ And let them be humiliated and perish,

¹⁸ Are the Most High over all the earth.
