Psalms

83

Legacy Standard Bible

1 A Song. A Psalm of Asaph. O God, do not remain at rest; Do not be silent and, O God, do not be quiet.

2 And those who hate You have lifted up their heads.

3 And conspire together against Your treasured ones.

4 That the name of Israel be remembered no more.”

5 Against You they cut a covenant:

6 Moab and the Hagrites;

7 Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;

8 They have become the power of the children of Lot. Selah.

9 As to Sisera, and Jabin at the river of Kishon,

10 Who were as dung for the ground.

11 And all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,

12 The pastures of God.”

13 Like chaff before the wind.

14 And like a flame that burns up the mountains,

15 And dismay them with Your storm.

16 That they may seek Your name, O Yahweh.

17 And let them be humiliated and perish,

18 Are the Most High over all the earth.
