Psalms

¹ Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for He is good, For His lovingkindness endures forever.

² Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the adversary

³ From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.

⁴ They did not find an inhabited city.

⁵ Their soul fainted within them.

⁶ He delivered them out of their distresses.

⁷ To go to an inhabited city.

⁸ And for His wondrous deeds to the sons of men!

⁹ And the hungry soul He has filled with what is good.

¹⁰ Prisoners in affliction and irons,

¹¹ And spurned the counsel of the Most High.

¹² They stumbled and there was none to help.

¹³ He saved them out of their distresses.

¹⁴ And broke their bands apart.

¹⁵ And for His wondrous deeds to the sons of men!

¹⁶ And cut through the bars of iron.

¹⁷ And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.

¹⁸ And they reached the gates of death.

¹⁹ He saved them out of their distresses.

²⁰ And provided them escape from their destructions.

²¹ And for His wondrous deeds to the sons of men!

²² And recount His works with joyful singing.

²³ Who do business on many waters;

²⁴ And His wondrous deeds in the deep.

²⁵ Which raised up the waves of the sea.

²⁶ Their soul melted away in the calamity.

²⁷ And all their wisdom was swallowed up.

²⁸ And He brought them out of their distresses.

²⁹ So that its waves were hushed.

³⁰ So He led them to their desired haven.

³¹ And for His wondrous deeds to the sons of men!

³² And praise Him at the seat of the elders.

³³ And springs of water into a thirsty ground;

³⁴ Because of the evil of those who inhabited it.

³⁵ And a dry land into springs of water;

³⁶ So that they may establish an inhabited city,

³⁷ And produce a fruitful harvest.

³⁸ And He does not let their cattle decrease.

³⁹ Through oppression, evil, and sorrow,

⁴⁰ And makes them wander in a pathless void.

⁴¹ And makes his families like a flock.

⁴² But all unrighteousness shuts its mouth.

⁴³ And carefully consider the lovingkindnesses of Yahweh.
