Psalms

Legacy Standard Bible

A Psalm of David. To bring to remembrance. O Yahweh, reprove me not in Your wrath, And discipline me not in Your burning anger.

And Your hand has pressed down upon me.

There is no health in my bones because of my sin.

As a heavy burden they weigh too much for me.

Because of my folly.

I go mourning all day long.

And there is no soundness in my flesh.

I groan because of the agitation of my heart.

And my sighing is not hidden from You.

And the light of my eyes, even that has gone from me.

And my kinsmen stand afar off.

And those who seek to do me evil have threatened destruction, And they meditate on deception all day long.

And I am like a mute man who does not open his mouth.

And in whose mouth are no reproofs.

You will answer, O Lord my God.

Who, when my foot stumbles, magnify themselves against me.”

And my sorrow is continually before me.

I am full of anxiety because of my sin.

And those who wrongfully hate me abound.

They accuse me, for I pursue what is good.

O my God, do not be far from me!

O Lord, my salvation!
