For the choir director. According to Jeduthun. Of Asaph. A Psalm. My voice rises to God, and I must cry aloud; My voice rises to God, and He will hear me.

In the night my hand was stretched out without weariness; My soul refused to be comforted.

I muse and my spirit faints. Selah.

I am so troubled that I cannot speak.

The years of long ago.

I am musing with my heart, And my spirit is searching:

And will He not be favorable again?

Has His word ended from generation to generation?

Or has He in anger shut up His compassion? Selah.

That the right hand of the Most High has changed.”

Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.

And muse on Your deeds.

What god is great like God?

You have made known Your strength among the peoples.

The sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.

The waters saw You, they were in anguish; The deeps also trembled.

The skies gave forth a sound; Your arrows went here and there.

The lightnings lit up the world; The earth trembled and shook.

And Your paths in the mighty waters, But Your footprints were not known.

By the hand of Moses and Aaron.
